Spot Battle 2011

Spot battle is an innovative, independent snowboard and ski competition that is held annually in Funäsdalen, Sweden. Created by ski pro Tom-Oliver Hedvall and ex-pro snowboarder Jonas Wilhelmson, Spot battle is a search for a competition format that brings out the most creative side of each rider whilst still keeping it fun and relaxed.

Spanning over three days, riders get to hit two different spots every day, ranging from traditional slopestyle to railjams to banked slalom. While the riders compete on one spot, the other spots are open for the public to ride. After the last day, a big party is held at Kåvan, a big restaurant/nightclub at the bottom of the hill. All the riders and crew also stay at the same hostel, adding to the family-type atmosphere.
